Last time we went to Burot Beach, we were caught upon Typhoon Maring's wrath. As revenge for that, we made sure there are no imminent typhoons close by so that we can enjoy Burot Beach to our heart's content.
Because of some heavy traffic and other circumstances, we were running a bit late on schedule as we arrived at Tagaytay around 1 PM so we decided to eat our lunch there and shop for supplies on the SM Savemore along Mendez. We reached Calatagan after about an hour and we arrived at the beach around 3 PM. No delays navigating our way to Burot Beach as this was our second time going there.
After settling down and pitching our tents, It's now time to go beach bumming! But before that, we took our our surprise birthday cakes for two of our friends as this trip is also part of the celebration of their birthdays. :)

Not that much people in here which makes Burot Beach great. |

The vehicle that brought us here |
Before swimming is of course the photo ops :) I went to the left side of the beach after the rocks as it is devoid of people and is perfect for some great shots. I already visited the right side of the beach the first time we went here, so my priority now will be the other side.
And now it's time for playing in the beach and the tide is as low and you can still walk very far away from the shore but the water level will still be around knee deep. What surprised me this time is we found a lot of starfishes!

Beautiful sunset on the beach |
Some bangkeros approached us and offered us to take to a nearby sandbar and snorkelling spot for P120 we haggle it down, as being said from other blogs that it should not be more than P100, rather less than that. For P50 each, we took their offer and agreed that they will pick us the next morning.
|
Night came and the wind is a bit strong which proved to make our cooking difficult, the bangkero who we agreed to have an island hopping, noticed us getting troubled cooking, so he then kindly offered to us his bucket / 'batya' for us to cook inside it and use it as a windbreaker. |

Lighting our bonfire |
We collected some dried woods back when there was still light out and bought gas to light up our bonfire. After lighting the bonfire, it's time to bring out the booze, and marshmallows and graham crackers to make smores :)

Cheers! |

Smores! |
After a bit of socials, the tiredness got the best of us and we slept at around 10 PM after clearing our table and hiding the items that might get stolen as I have read a blog before about Burot Beach that reported they have some of their unattended stuff stolen as they were swimming in the beach.
Morning came and a beautiful morning here in Burot Beach as the weather is great. After eating our breakfast, it's now time to prepare for our island hopping.

Manong bangkero chillin' on the side of the boat |
The first stop for our boat ride is a spot around the right side of the beach where we collected some starfishes :)
Hello there starfishes! I told you I'm coming back to catch more of you :)
Next stop is the sand bar but because it is high tide, we weren't able to fully see it :( Clear waters approached us and happily played with it for a little time.

At the sand bar. |
After the sand bar is the snorkelling spot. The snorkelling spot faces the beach shoreline but it is a bit farther away. The bangkeros warned us the the waters are quite deep and when some of my friends decided to go for a swim, they have confirmed that the water is really deep and you would sink if you don't know how to swim or doesn't have a life jacket. It was tempting but I decided not to go. I was a bit envious though as they told me that there are a lot of corals and small fishes underwater.
Back at the shore after island hopping, we prepared our payments and gave it right away to our Manong Bangkero, also we thankfully return back his bucket / 'batya' after emptying it with the starfishes(I used it to keep my starfishes together and put some beach water on it).
Other beach campers having their beach bum moments
As this beach somehow unspoiled, there are no presentable rather bonggacious facilities here hehe. So expect to have a communal shower room, and also some long lines starting in the afternoon.

We cleaned up our stuff after the boat ride and took shower one by one as we get ready to leave the beach around 11 AM. Our supply of drinking water ran out so instead of cooking our lunch on the beach, we decided to just eat our lunch at Tagaytay.
BEACH BUMMERS :)
After another round of photo ops, it is now time to say goodbye to the beach and this time, my trip to Burot Beach was a success :)

Back to the long stretch of the bumpy dirt road |
I had a great experience this time at Burot Beach, I dont know that Island Hopping exists the last time we went there, thanks to blogs I've read, trully helpful. :) (PS, I dont know if you can call that an 'Island Hopping' as we dont really went to an island, instead just to some part of the beach. :) Have you visited this beach yet? If not, then hurry! SM Corporation might turn this unspoiled beach into an expensive beach resort! :)
Happy Travels Everyone! :)
