There are lots of restaurants and eateries in Baler, but there is still that one place you can't miss while you're there. Gerry Shan's Place is an eat-all-you-can restaurant near the town central in Baler. It is not easy miss as they are just conveniently located along the main highway.
Gerry Shan's Place is a high regarded place by most of the people who visit Baler and it's no surprise why. Affordable? Check. Huge selection of dishes? Check. Easy to access location? Check. Great service? Check. Very satisfying both for the budget both for budget and tummy? Double check!
We came just before 11AM and the area is not yet crowded. We went directly to the counter and paid the P185/head for the buffet and drink-all-you-can. First thing you got to do is first pay the P185 and the staff will lead you to your table. You will be then given you plates and utensils for the buffet and they will also provide you with bottomless ice tea.
The place isn't really that large that is why they can't accommodate that many people at a time.

Upon checking the buffet table, they have a very wide selection of dishes available and the best part of it is that they refill the emptied trays instantly that's why you can taste all the dishes that they offer!
There is a wide array of dishes from fishes, pork, beef, chicken, and other seafood. There are also different soups available for your liking. They also serve different kind of vegetable dishes to make your meal healthier. Pasta is also available. And of course, you can't forget the desserts :)
While savoring our first batch of food, there was a sudden influx of customers going in to the restaurant. Good thing that we arrived before it was lunch time or else we would also have to wait before we get a vacant table.

The food in Gerry Shan's really is great and it is one of the buffets that is a must visit. I wasn't able to taste all the dishes because I get full so easily. >.<
So if ever you're searching for a place to eat in Baler, you know where to find Gerry Shan's and I'm sure you will love it there :)
