Museo De Baler & Quezon Memorial Park

Museo De Baler is part of our historical trail tour around Baler, Aurora on our 3rd(last day) stay. Before heading back home to Manila, we had our quick lunch at the Rolling Store and after that, we started our historical trail tour. This Museo De Baler is just near the Rolling Store so we just opted to walk to get there. Our car is parked somewhere near the rolling store.

Before we enter the Museo De Baler, there is an old-fashioned car parked outside the museum. I've learned that it was a car especially built by General Motors of America for the late President Manuel Quezon. Later on, this car was turned over to General Douglas MacArthur who used it all throughout his tour of duty in the Philippines. It was donated after some time to the Philippine Government and undergone some restoration.

The Museo de Baler was a dream project of the Angaras, and they made it come true with the help of the Baler Historical Committee.

If you wanna know more about the colorful history of the province of Aurora, you should visit this museum. There are representations, old artifacts and significant information available here that you can take a good look.

As I can recall my History subject, I remembered the things about Galleon Trade. A trade established between Manila and Acapulco. I loved the fact that this old artifacts was found in the shipwrecks around Luzon and in some parts of Palawan areas and is now being preserved inside this museum.

The museum also comprises about the History of the Angaras. Some stories, works and projects that they have done for their hometown.

Quezon Memorial Park was just infront of the Museo De Baler, this park was developed in honor and memory of our later President Manuel Quezon. You will passed by this park if you are going to Sabang Beach as it serves as one of the landmarks here in Baler.
