Dinner At Larsian Cebu

After the walking trip around Cebu City's Historical Trail, our feet were dead tired and so our tummy. We found where the Larsian is because it's just so famous. And its good that I'm also craving for some barbecue or ihaw ihaw that night.

I remember Banchetto in Manila, or Mezza Norte, but no, its not the same style. Well its more like Dampa, where you get to choose whatever food you want and they will cook it for you.

Same style applies to Larsian, the difference is that, I thinks its just more on the ihaw ihaw (grilling) style. Barbecue. The options from chicken to pork to fish and other seafoods.

After choosing what you want, they will bring it to the grilling area. The grilling area is at the middle.

There are designated tables/dining area in front of the store where you choose to buy your foods. You can wait there and while they grill your food, they will serve you some soup.

Puso

They will serve you Puso first. Puso is very popular and a must try in Cebu, its a steamed sticky rice I guess that is being wrapped in a coconut leaves. It is very convenient eating this one because you just have to unwrapped the leaves and start eating. No need for spoon and fork! :D And it is cheap that it will cost you juts 3 pesos each! :D

Whenever there is a seafood category in the menu, I would always choose Pusit(Squid) just because its my favorite!!! So its one of our order and its priced at 100 pesos. The fish is 80 pesos. And all of that is good for sharing. Yes we shared it to five of us.

The isaw(instestine) if I remember it correctly is just priced at 5 pesos, and atay(liver) is at 7 or 8 pesos. The chorizo is one of my favorite also and its cheap at 12-15 pesos per stick. They will give you hand plastic because they don't have spoon and fork. And hey, its good to eat with your hands! Especially when the food is grilled.

The trip to Cebu City is not complete without pigging out at Larsian sa Fuente! Well, it would not hurt your pocket since its way affordable than other foodtrips in Cebu. Yes? Yes! And its a barbecue haven for everyone :) Happy Eating!!!
