Moalboal Backpacker Lodge

After arriving at Moalboal public market, we rented out two tricycles to take us to the inns near the beach. After scouring for cheap ones, we eventually stayed at Moalboal Backpacker Lodge since it is the best among all the budget accommodations in Moalboal.

Upon checking the rates and room, we immediately agreed with the price of 250/person for a fan room with 4 single bed. We just requested an additional mattress and pillows because we were five.

The lodge has a colorful and funky design motif
The interior of the lodge has a very lively and colorful design that would definitely appeal to the younger generations.

What you can use inside are 3 shower rooms, one toilet, and one toilet with shower area. There are also sinks outside the toilet you can use. They also have a kitchen that you can borrow if you ever want to cook for yourselves since the food sold around the area is very expensive because they mostly target foreigner tourists. There is a cheap 'sutukil' restaurant a few hundred meters away and we decided to have our dinner there, you can ask around for directions to it as it is quite popular.

The inside of the rooms are clean enough and it is not that hot even though there are 5 of us sharing one stand fan. A towel is also provided that you can use.

Lots of dive shops and other accomodations near Moalboal Backpacker Lodge
If you ever find yourself in Moalboal, Moalboal Backpacker Lodge is definitely one of the best ones you can stay at a budget without disregarding the quality of service. You can also ask them for boat rentals to Pescador Island so that they will get a boatman you can negotiate with.

From Cebu City South Bus Terminal to Moalboal public market is more or less 2-3 hours. To get to Moalboal Backpacker Lodge, ride to the tricycle from the public market and tell that you are going to Moalboal Backpacker Lodge as it is quite popular and easy to find.
