Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse

Currently, I'm finding a perfect foundation that will be a staple in my make-up kit. I'm eyeing on this Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation ever since I've read so many reviews about it. But its not like I always put on liquid foundation everyday. I'm always satisfied with just a pressed powder and some lip tint to brighten up my face.

I used to do my make-up back in the days when we were college and going to a dance competition, we are not required to have our make-up on but of course we needed to present a better look of ourselves even though the audience were just going to watch us dance. So yes, we do our makeup for ourselves. The first liquid foundation I have ever used by that time was the Ever Bilena Foundation. It was the only foundie that I have in my kikay kit, plus the lipstick, eyeliners and etc. Looking back, browsing old photos, I just realized how ghostly I am whenever I put that foundie on. Tsk! I am currently an office girl (booyah). These days I am hooked with make-ups and yes I am a late bloomer, so I am searching for a great foundation to use for everyday or even when I'm going out.

Thank God for some awesome beauty bloggers around the world who shares their experiences and reviewing good and bad products. As of many blogs I have stumbled upon, I guess this Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation is perfect for me. I don't know what was it looked like of an Airbrush Finish but then it's a plus if it performs really that way(ang sosyal lang pakinggan eh! (: ) This foundation retails for P599, its one of the affordable foundation out there! So I do hope that my money gets its worth, cause I'm always on a budget and don't wanna splurge on things, unless I know it works for me. I got myself a shade of Sandy Beige(Medium 1) on this. Which I guess a perfect shade for my yellowish skintone(I have yet to find the perfect shade for me, I don't know what's that NC35 etc etc NC NC NC lol, and you might wanna help me how to, please message me so lol)

I am not very particular on the ingredient list, but just in case some readers wanna know, I've included it in here. What's good for a specific product is that it shows it's manufactured date and better also if it includes expiration date so that people can measure how long should it stay on their kits. But then, If you have only one or two foundation. I guess it would last you for a year or so. Depending on your usage. I seldom used liquid foundation so I guess this bottle would last long.

My face with just moisturizer (I used celeteque hydration moisturizer)

With just one layer of Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation

After applying Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation, my face looked healthy, and it gives me a semi-matte finish with a slightly dewy effect on my cheeks which I liked. Do take note that I only used my fingers to blend in the foundation. Cause I don't know how to use brushes or sponges or etc. I always end up having streaks. I have tried using a foundation brush with this foundation and it somehow looked an Airbrush Finish I guess? lol, but when I looked closer, there are some streaks on my face. So I just used my fingers so that I can blend it more the way I want it. The coverage was nice, It somehow lighten the appearance of my acne scars on the side of my face.

With 4U2 Dreamgirl Lovelight BB Powder

I have an oily T-Zone so after that liquid foundation, I topped it off with some powder to somehow control the oil build-up, I love this BB Powder from 4U2 Cosmetics. It really helped me control some oiliness on my face.

Finished my look with some blush on, eyeliner, lipstick, enhanced my eyebrow a bit.

This should be my everyday look. But then, the lazy me always forget to groom myself in the morning before going to the office. Because I know that I'm going to battle with those people riding in the MRT everyday haha. I usually do my make-up when I feel liked it in the office. But sometimes I don't. I'm quite happy with just a hint of color in my lips cause I looked pale without those tint on.

So after 3-4 hours wearing this foundation, I started to see a little bit of oil build-up around my T-Zone but it is nothing to worry about, my face still looked healthy. And you can have your blotting film/papers with you at times, and I don't mind minor touch-ups with my Lovelight BB Powder. So I guess hurray for my first successful liquid foundation!
