Seven Lakes Of San Pablo City, Laguna

Some news around the internet alarmed me that this Laguna - San Pablo's Seven Lakes was chosen as one of the "Threatened Lakes of the Year 2014". As for that news, I was so eager to visit as soon as possible the 7 Lakes before it was fully destructed by some people/locals or I don't know who exactly they are. And just like another weekend, I invited my friends out of nowhere and they randomly agreed to come with me.

Crazy Katsu Along Maginhawa

Another random weekend foodtrip, my friends and I went to Maginhawa for a good food fix. Just because I cannot tolerate staying at home staring at the ceiling and waiting for something to happen. I texted my friends and they agreed to meet me up.

Flowers Bloom

Just another weekend celebrating my father's birthday that time. We just had a quick lunch celebration at Tramway and then after that they dropped us off at Trinoma because I'm having a movie date. While waiting for our movie, I just had a quick OOTD photo ops :)

Exploring Southern Cebu

After the long wait, my Southern Cebu exploration did come true! I was not expecting this trip to came so soon. But as soon as seatsale was up, my travel buddies and I booked a flight right away. Alloted only 4 days 3 nights for us to enjoy Cebu so I need to choose which part of Cebu should we explore. Because going there North to South means a lot of travel time plus hassle. So my pick was Southern Cebu.

Why Southern Cebu? Why not Northern part which has numerous beaches? Inlove with beaches? Yes I am, totally. But what makes me choose Southern part was the variation of things to do and explore. Adventures. There are so much in my list to explore on the Southern Part so I carefully choose the best that would fit our itinerary.

Dinner At Larsian Cebu

After the walking trip around Cebu City's Historical Trail, our feet were dead tired and so our tummy. We found where the Larsian is because it's just so famous. And its good that I'm also craving for some barbecue or ihaw ihaw that night.

Westpoint Inn, Cebu City

We almost have no chance of finding an accommodation for our 3rd night in Cebu. Because everything that is in our list that we checked upon was already full. We walked along Don Gil Garcia Street and found this Westpoint Inn. It's also near Fuente Osmena and from there you could just walk to get here.

Cebu City Historical Trail

Our third day was spent well, after our whaleshark watching in Oslob and the exploration of Sumilon Island, we went back to Cebu City. We depart from the town of Oslob at around lunchtime and arrived at almost sunset in Cebu City.

Aaron Beach Resort, Oslob, Cebu

After riding the bus from Santander, the bus stopped exactly in the front gates of Aaron Beach Resort. Since we don't have any reservations ahead of time, we tried searching nearby accommodations first but to no avail, so we're back where we started at Aaron's Beach Resort.

Sumilon Island, Cebu

I dream of going to this Sumilon Island after reading across some Pinoy Travel Blogs. I've been wanting to try Glamping (Glamorous Camping) but its pricey. Well the tour for this is pricey with the Bluewater Sumilon Island Resort(the only resort in Sumilon Island, and that only offers this Glamping experience). Good thing I've found out that there are cheaper ways to get into this Sumilon Island's sandbar but minus the Glamping experience. Just the sandbar.

Whaleshark Encounter: The Tuki Experience - Oslob

Brgy. Tan-awan of Oslob was recently getting been famous for travellers and adventure seekers because of the appearances of the whalesharks (locally known as Butanding/s). It was 2011 when the town of Oslob been getting popular because of the whalesharks and over the years it has been a destination for locals and also foreign travellers who might as well wants to encounter this harmless creature on earth.

Tumalog Falls

On our 2nd day at Cebu, we travelled from Moalboal to Oslob, it was about lunchtime and we were about to go Sumilon Island, but it was hightide so we decided to take Habal Habal tour around Oslob, Boljoon and Alcoy. Part of our Habal habal tour is this Tumalog Falls. An umbrella-like shape falls that is also known as Mag-ambak Falls or Toslob Falls.

Southern Cebu Habal-Habal Tour: Oslob x Boljoon x Alcoy

From Aaron's Beach Resort, we negotiated 3 motorcycles to be our service vehicle for 500/each. The plan for the afternoon is to visit the following places for the rest of the day; Tumalog Falls, The Oslob and the Boljoon leg of the Southern Cebu Historical Trail, and Tingko Beach in Alcoy.

Moalboal x Pescador Island x Chasing Dolphins

Moalboal in the Southern Part of Cebu is one of the best diving spots in the entire Philippines. It's where the home of colorful fishes and lively corals underneath. It's one of the places that topnotches on my itinerary. I am so much inlove with the life underneath the open sea so I guess I'm excited to try this one out.

Refreshing Kawasan Falls Of Badian, Cebu

There are a lot of things to do and places to explore in Cebu City. And what's more great was that there are numerous waterfalls in Cebu that you could actually explore if you want just a daytrip relaxation. One of the many waterfalls is this Kawasan Falls in Badian Cebu that we recently visit.

Moalboal Backpacker Lodge

After arriving at Moalboal public market, we rented out two tricycles to take us to the inns near the beach. After scouring for cheap ones, we eventually stayed at Moalboal Backpacker Lodge since it is the best among all the budget accommodations in Moalboal.

Mantayupan Falls - The Tallest Waterfall In Cebu

Mantayupan Falls is the tallest waterfall in Cebu at 98 meters high. Located in the town of Barili. The falls itself is not that far from the highway. From the bus stop, we rented a habal-habal which can take 2 persons each motorcycle for P60 back and forth to the falls. After getting to the falls and paying the entrance fee of P20, the falls is just a few minutes walk along a concrete pathway.

Foodtrip Part 2: Quick Chill At Baskin Robbins

Baskin Robbins was around in the Philippines decades ago, and they had a comeback here in Manila just recently. It was this July 2014 when Baskin Robbins had open their first branch in Bonifacio Global City Taguig. It is located at the Upper Ground Floor Central Square, BGC Taguig.

Foodtrip Part 1: Breakfast at Toastbox

The first time I have tried this Toastbox was years ago already and way back when I was on a vacation in Singapore. It was my mom who let me tried their Kaya Toast and their Milo Dinosaur, and I loved that. But since I am not a foodie from that time, I wasn't eager to try it again for so many time.

Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss in 010 Hot Pink

It took long enough for me to review this Colorburst Lipgloss of Revlon. Well, I usually don't use lipgloss for everyday wear because of the hassle means of transportation here in Manila. Hence, I always use lip tints whenever my lazy ass days. And a good matte or semi-matte lipstick on my on the mood days. But this Colorburst Lipgloss is one of those I loved to wear ocassionally or whenever I want to.

Dining in at Shi Lin

My friends and I wanted to go watch a movie at Bonifacio High Street because we want to try this new thing 4DX experience. We opted to dine-in first to have our lunch at Shi Lin before watching a movie, so we ordered our food first, then while waiting, the other friend of mine initatively went to Bonifacio High Street to reserve a seat. Unfortunately, 4DX tickets are always sold out due to limited seating capacity. So we opted for a 3D movie instead.

Brazilian Blow-Out Experience At Queen's Lair Salon

My hair now is too long, and the roots are being shown so ugly. My hair is dry and frizzy, I don't wanna get it rebonded again because it might not be a good idea since my hair was totally damaged due to frequent use of hair colorants. I just wanted a treatment to tamed the frizzes and that's it. Good thing I always browse some deal sites which led me to Queen's Lair Salon.

Hot Sunny Day at Canyon Cove, Batangas

Last May, we had an opportunity to tour our Japanese bosses who came to see Philippines for business purposes. And as a member of our team, they chose me to be one of their companions in the out of town tour. Maybe because they already know that I am a frequent traveler.

Philippine Hot Air Balloon Festival 2014

Years back, there was this phenomenal event every year. This Philippine Hot Air Balloon Festival was being celebrated every year at Angeles City, Pampanga. And I didn't know back then how could I possibly attend this kind of event. Way back in my college days, I only know about commuting from home to school and Trinoma and to some malls near our school. I never thought of myself being a Lakwatsera or Traveler or someone who is interested attending festivals, appreciating natures and everything beyond. But it was just last year (the start of my travel year), the only time I discovered myself of doing something outside of the box. Finally, a friend invited me to this event. I only hear things about this Hot Air Balloon Festival since 2013, and I really wanna come but I don't have friends with me, so this time it's all been set.

Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse

Currently, I'm finding a perfect foundation that will be a staple in my make-up kit. I'm eyeing on this Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation ever since I've read so many reviews about it. But its not like I always put on liquid foundation everyday. I'm always satisfied with just a pressed powder and some lip tint to brighten up my face.

Dona Aurora Quezon House in Baler

The province of Aurora(formerly Aurora Quezon Province) was named after the wife and the first lady of the Old Commonwealth President Manuel Luis Quezon, namely Aurora Antonia Aragón Vd.ª de Quezón. She was assassinated way back then, so to honor and commemorate her memory, the province was named after her.

Museo De Baler & Quezon Memorial Park

Museo De Baler is part of our historical trail tour around Baler, Aurora on our 3rd(last day) stay. Before heading back home to Manila, we had our quick lunch at the Rolling Store and after that, we started our historical trail tour. This Museo De Baler is just near the Rolling Store so we just opted to walk to get there. Our car is parked somewhere near the rolling store.

Baler's Ever Famous Rolling Store

The Rolling Store at the town center of Baler is one of the famous eating among bloggers and other adventures who visits Baler. Well, the price ranges of food here is as cheap as you can ever imagine. In less than 50 pesos you have a good satisfying meal. And also, there are many eateries filed up so you have many options to choose from.

Where To Stay In Baler: Elaine MM Lodge

When arranging for an accommodation in Baler, reservations should be done atleast a whole month before your preferred travel date as Baler is a really popular destination for surfing in the Philippines. Well, not in our case atleast as we only tried contacting inns and hotels 1 week before our supposed to be travel date. :p

El Teodero Tapsilog, Baler

El Teodoro Tapsilugan is just behind our MM Lodge Accommodation. So the following morning that we were there, we tried having our breakfast here. I am always craving for tapsilog heh. El Teodoro basically offers accommodation also, but we were not interested to bother to ask for the rates as we already had checked in @ MM Lodge.

Day 3: Baler Land Tour And Last Minute Surfing

It was our last day in Baler, I wanna go surf for the last time before we leave Baler. But then again, I got some bruises and I can feel the tiredness of my body from the first day of surfing, up to yesterday's non-stop tour around Aurora. But my friends didn't let the tiredness stop them from surfing and feel the rush again of the waves.

The Journey To Dicasalarin Cove

For the last leg of our Baler tour, we are now headed to the secluded paradise of Dicasalarin Cove. Shortly after passing by Diguisit Beach and the Aniao Islets, you will be reaching a tight road which has a very steep grade in which you have to pass to be able to reach Dicasalarin Cove.

Diguisit Falls and Rock Formations

Coming from Ermita Hill, Diguisit Falls(located at Sitio Diguisit, Barangay Zabali, Baler, Aurora), is just a few minutes away. It is really accessible and is just beside the road that you will passed by going to the Diguisit Beach.

Carlito's Restaurant

After dipping ourselves to the refreshing waters of Ditumabo Falls, we wanted to fully stuffed ourselves and have our late lunch at Carlito's Restaurant. I've heard a good buffet here at Carlito's so I am quite expecting like those of the Gerry Shan's Buffet.

Ermita Hill

Who would not love to see a relaxing view on a sunny afternoon at the top of this Ermita Hill? One should climb a stairs or hike a steep cemented road to be at the top of this hill to witness the magnificent view it can offer. Ermita Hill or Ermita Park is open to public starting as early as 6:00 AM in the morning until 7:00 PM.

Gerry Shan's Restaurant

There are lots of restaurants and eateries in Baler, but there is still that one place you can't miss while you're there. Gerry Shan's Place is an eat-all-you-can restaurant near the town central in Baler. It is not easy miss as they are just conveniently located along the main highway.

Mother Falls Of Aurora: Ditumabo Falls

One of the most famous landmarks in Aurora that you have to visit while touring from Baler can only be reached by traveling through unpaved rough dirt roads littered with huge boulders. You need to make sure to use a vehicle with a high enough ground clearance or else it would be scraping it's under body all over the sharp rocks along the way. After some 20 minutes of a bumpy ride, you will be able to reach the jump off to the very famous Ditumabo Falls, more commonly known as Mother Falls.

Caunayan Falls, Aurora

After our first stop at the Millenium Tree(Old Balete Tree) we drove more or less 30 minutes going to Barangay Pimentel in San Luis to visit Caunayan Falls. The road going there was not a smooth one. We had our private vehicle going there and we experienced a bumpy and rough road ride.

Millennium Tree - Old Balete Tree Of Aurora

At the Maria Aurora Baler, stands the Official Millenium Tree of The Philippines. The Old Balete Tree is 600 years old already!. The largest tree I have ever seen of its kind. It is claimed to be the Largest Balete Tree in Asia(also called Banyan Tree). It is one the most visited tourist spot here in Aurora. This Balete Tree is about 60 meters tall.

Day 2: Touring Around Maria Aurora - Breathtaking Falls and Sceneries

Our Day 2 is jampacked of activities. We will be touring around Aurora, and mostly visiting different falls. For sure this would be leaving us tired, we might as well eat lotsa carbs to fill our tummies and get ready for the awesome adventures that awaits us. We hired a local guide to tour us around the place, we have our own vehicle so we don't need to hire a tricycle, just a guide and it saved us money and the hassle instead with availing a tricycle tour.

Day 1: BALER: Surfing My Heart Out

When everyone is talking about Baler, all I can hear from them is SURFING. Well, Baler is the surfing capital of the Philippines. Yeah. Indeed. Those who are looking for travel adventures and some adrenaline rush, they know where to go. Baler well, fits among those thrill seekers and everyone who choose to have a break from the hectic stuffs back in Manila. But there are more things beyond this surfing capital of the Philippines. Let's find out..

It was too early for summer, our department in the office wanted our Social Interaction right away before its too late claiming the budget. So when my head asks me to plan for something like this, I immediately googled and look for something that would be perfect for our first attempt for a summer escapade this year.

Bataan: Post Valentine Daytrip

Another day trip on a weekend after the Valentines Day. I was able to visit and view some of the historical places in Bataan. It was indeed fun though it was just a quick Daytrip. In this day tour, I have covered 3 separate posts of some spots in Bataan that I have spent most hours exploring.

Post Valentine

Another day trip in Bataan after the Valentines Day. It didn't require to sweat a lot to be on the summit of Mt. Samat so I had the chance to take some OOTD photos.

Pawikan Conservation Center - Morong, Bataan

After around more than an hour from Dunsulan Falls, we are now at the municipality of Morong to visit the Pawikan Conservation Center. The Pawikan Conservation is located at the silent fishing town of Barangay Nagbalayong, Morong, Bataan. It's not easy to miss as there are a lot of road signs pointing to the direction of the center along Gov. JJ Linao National Road.

Dunsulan Falls Of Bataan

Located at the foot of Mt. Samat is Dunsulan Falls. After exiting to the main highway from Mt Samat, you will be seeing a huge sign pointing the direction of Dunsulan Falls after around 5 minutes and after turning left, it will be just a short 10 minute drive to the falls. There is a fork in the road where you need turn left. At the end of the road is the parking space for the falls.

Exploring the History of Mt. Samat in Bataan

I have climbed mountains before and the experience always leave me breathless, both figuratively and literally. Mt. Samat is different in a way though as it only left me breathless figuratively as there is a road you can take directly up to the summit of the mountain and on to the Dambana ng Kagitingan monument.

The Royal Touch Cupcakes

The Royal Touch Gourmet Cupcakes is my first cupcake store I have visited. Well, as I am not fond of eating cupcakes but rather more on doughnuts. I was always captured by those cutesy colorful cupcakes that are widely spread in the metro, so this time I gave it a try.
