Where to stay in Bolinao: Bing's Beach Resort

We were actually supposed to stay at one of the cottages in Patar Beach but Patar Road is just so bad, it's not paved, it's dusty, and filled with sharp rocks, that we felt that the vehicle we are using might give up long before we reach Patar Beach. So just as we were about half way to Patar Beach from Bolinao town proper, we saw Bing's Beach Resort which spans on both side of the road where the one facing the beach is the resort and on other side is the hotel.

Patar Beach, Bolinao

Abrac Beach also known as "Patar Beach" is located at Brgy. Patar, Bolinao. It is one of the top beaches in Pangasinan. It has a strong waves coming from West Philippine Sea and a lovely sunset to watched for.

Cape Bolinao Lighthouse

The Cape Bolinao Lighthouse at Patar rises around 30 meters high atop Punta Piedra Point, a towering hill of solid rock which is the sharp point of Cape Bolinao itself. The lighthouse was built way back in 1905 by a joint effort between Filipino, American, and British engineers.

Enchanted Cave, Bolinao

There are three caves in Bolinao which are named the Enchanted Cave, Wonderful Cave and Cindy's Cave. We went there hoping we could visit and take a swim in each of the caves but when we went to Cindy's Cave, it is under construction that is why the cave is closed while it is still being renovated. We went to Cindy's Cave but the power is out in the town and it is pitch dark inside the cave that's why we were not allowed to swim by the caretaker. So our only option is at the Enchanted Cave which by chance also has the most expensive entrance fee among the three caves. How overpriced are they? Well, there is a parking fee for vehicles depending on size, even motorbikes and tricycles, which is P20 and P50 for SUVs. As for the entrance, it is P70 per head and an additional P30 per head if you would swim inside the cave. You can compare that to Cindy's Cave fixed at P50 per head and at Wonderful Cave which is P40 per head and 70 per head if you'll go swimming.

Bolinao Falls 2

Bolinao Falls is located at Brgy. Samang Norte, Bolinao. It is just 30 minutes away from the town proper. 30 minutes or more due to unpaved roads. There are actually 2 falls, Bolinao Falls 1 and Bolinao Falls 2.

Bolinao, Pangasinan

As a part of the travel adventure for my birthday, I decided to tour two of the most famous places in Pangasinan which are Bolinao and Alaminos for the weekend. This blog post is the Bolinao part of the trip and each of the places we've been to will be detailed in each own blog post.
