DJC Halo-Halo - Legazpi City, Albay

After eating a hearty meal of pinangat from Camalig, we rode a jeepney going to Gaisano Mall with the fare costing P20. We headed to 1st Colonial Grill to take a taste of it's very popular Sili Ice Cream joined with Tinutong na Bigas flavor. You can read it in my post here. Still craving for more, we searched Google again of Albay's best which then led us to DJC Halo Halo.

Good thing we are already at Gaisano Mall as DJC Halo Halo is just a few meters away. We just asked the security guards of the mall who pointed us to the right direction.

The place is a big and there are a lot of tables available. We came at around 10:30AM that's why there aren't that much customers around. On the menu, there are sandwiches and rice meals but who cares, I'm here for the halohalo because that's what made this restaurant popular! :p

The one I ordered is the DJC Supreme Halo Halo for P85. It has ube ice cream, grated cheese, leche flan, ube halaya, sago, gulaman, and all the other ingredients you would expect in a halo halo. It's very different from the monotonous halo halo of Razon's as the DJC Supreme Halo Halo is very colorful. What I liked after seeing it is that it has more ingredients than it has ice.

It was one of the best halo halos I have ever tasted as the flavor of the ingredients mix in just right. It is very unlike the common halo-hallo sold in Manila where all you can taste is sweetness of the sugar with lots and lots of ice. The serving is really big and I wasn't able to finish it all as it seems like the DJC Supreme Halo Halo is good for sharing with 2 people.

DJC Halo Halo is really one of the best Legazpi has to offer so make sure to drop by them and have a taste of this awesome dessert, I'm sure you won't regret it! :)
