Caunayan Falls, Aurora

After our first stop at the Millenium Tree(Old Balete Tree) we drove more or less 30 minutes going to Barangay Pimentel in San Luis to visit Caunayan Falls. The road going there was not a smooth one. We had our private vehicle going there and we experienced a bumpy and rough road ride.

We arrived at Caunayan Falls at 10:00am and immediately paid the entrance fee of 20 pesos.

Ive read many blogs that some people along the way asks them to pay 20 pesos entrance fee but found out that they were just self-imposing right of way(some says its a private property so a seperate payment of 20 pesos is really needed), but in our case we didn't experienced that one. Maybe those who just had tricycle before entering to the falls itself.

After paying the entrance fee, you'll see some cottages spread aroung for a certain amount of fee. But we did not care to rent one because we'll not be staying too long because we were going to visit another Falls which is Ditumabo Falls.

Caunayan Falls itself is really inviting. Though its height and thickness of water flowing from the falls isn't that much of an attraction but then again, the rays of the sun reflected how clear the waters of Caunayan Falls. The turqouise color of water always invites me to take even just a quick dip.

We did manage to dip into its cold waters. And its really refreshing. The water flows onto the basin is just at the low level(sorry I cannot measure exactly if up to where it is - just waist level deep I think).

Rocky side of Caunayan Falls

This man is standing infront of the falls, and based from his height, the water level is just above the knee. Well as for me, its already waist deep lol!

We did some photo ops and selfies of Julius :)) Then after that, we bid goodbye to Caunayan Falls as we head on to our next Journey to the Mother Falls of Aurora.
