Day 2: Touring Around Maria Aurora - Breathtaking Falls and Sceneries

Our Day 2 is jampacked of activities. We will be touring around Aurora, and mostly visiting different falls. For sure this would be leaving us tired, we might as well eat lotsa carbs to fill our tummies and get ready for the awesome adventures that awaits us. We hired a local guide to tour us around the place, we have our own vehicle so we don't need to hire a tricycle, just a guide and it saved us money and the hassle instead with availing a tricycle tour.

We started our day with a great breakfast at El Teodoro Tapsilog. Yes, we were here mainly for tapsilog, but then again, epic fail they run out of tapsilog daw. So I just ordered tocilog. Yum! More about El Teodoro Tapsilog can be found on a seperate post HERE.

At exactly 9:00am we started our tour and our first stop is this Balete Tree(Millenium Tree). It was huge and I was amazed by this old balete tree. There is an entrance fee P10 per head as of our last visit March 2014. My seperate post about this Millenium Tree can be found HERE.

and some groupie shots

Our next destination is the Caunayan Falls. This falls is jaw dropping. The blue-green waters a knee deep to waist deep. Caunayan Falls is located at Brgy. Pimentel San Luis. An etrance fee also for this trip was P20. We did not stay here for so long, only a good 10-15 minutes to explore and feel the area and have some photo-ops. I have also a seperate post for this. Link HERE.

We immediately went our way to Ditumabo Falls, we drove from Caunayan Falls up to the jump-off point of Ditumabo Falls. At 12noon when the sun is striking hot, we began our trekking. This has been quoted as the 'Mother Falls' and after a short 30 minutes of trekking, I finally did see it on my very own eyes and finally agreed that IT IS INDEED THE MOTHER FALLS. Breathtaking. Feels like I'm bathing in the rain. Another post for this falls can be found HERE.

After enjoying bathing in the cold waters of the Mother Falls, its time to have our late lunch. It was past 2pm when we arrived at Carlito's Restaurant to have a sumptuous buffet. Well, too bad, because we were late to have lunch in there, we just had some few of leftover foods from the buffet, no more refills. For my detailed post please check it HERE.

overlooking view from ermita hill

There is a stairways up to the top of Ermita Hill and before you can reach the top and have an amazing view of the coast, you will passed by the statues of the 7 families who was commemorated back 1735 after the Tsunami that devastated the place. Some helpful information can be found on another post HERE in this link.

The next destination is another waterfalls. Diguisit Waterfalls Okay 3 falls in a day. Lol :) But it wasn't hard to reach as it was just along the way. Really , from the road, you can parked to the right and from there just 2 cartwheels to the falls. But it was really accessible so you can take a dip in its cold waters if you're feeling warm. My post can be found HERE.

aniao islets

The last stop of our daytour is the Dicasalarin Cove which was owned by a previously senator, Ed Angara. You have a lot of things to do here, you can visit the Parola(Lighthouse), you can visit where Senator Angara is staying whenever he goes back to his hometown. My full story of Dicasalarin Cove Adventure can be found HERE.

Our dinner is again at the rolling store. We were absolutely tired and all so after eating dinner, we bought some ice for our drinks cause we'll be having some chill nights again at the lodge before we sleep.
